If you’re thinking about booking in for Botox or a B12 injection, you may notice that things are being done a little differently moving forward—and for good reason!
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has recently introduced new guidance for prescribers, which affects how certain treatments are given. But don’t worry—we’re here to walk you through the changes and explain how we’re keeping things simple, safe, and convenient for you.
Who are the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)?
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the professional regulator for nurses and midwives in the UK. Their role is to ensure high standards of care and protect patient safety. These new requirements are part of wider efforts to make sure prescription-only treatments like Botox and B12 are delivered with the proper safeguards in place.
What Do the New Rules Mean for You?
To make sure everything is as smooth and easy as possible, we’ll now be holding prescriber clinics on a regular basis at different times throughout each month to meet everyone’s needs.
You’ll still have your consultation with me and I’ll still perform your treatment—nothing else changes except attending a quick face to face appointment with my nurse prescriber who will issue your script.
A £25 script fee is required at your face to face with my prescriber at your appointment.
If you’re attending a clinic appointment and plan to have your treatment within the following two weeks, a deposit will be required to so your treatment can be ordered, this will then be deducted from your treatment at your appointment. If you attend a prescribing clinic early then this is fine and you will only need to pay the £25 script fee. The deposit will only be required when your treatment date is approaching in order for me to order your treatment
These changes are designed to keep your treatments safe, legal, and fully tailored to your needs. It’s all about raising standards—and we’re all for that!
