If you’re thinking about booking in for Botox or a B12 injection, you may notice that things are being done a little differently moving forward—and for good reason!

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has recently introduced new guidance for prescribers, which affects how certain treatments are given. But don’t worry—we’re here to walk you through the changes and explain how we’re keeping things simple, safe, and convenient for you.

Who are the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)?

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the professional regulator for nurses and midwives in the UK. Their role is to ensure high standards of care and protect patient safety. These new requirements are part of wider efforts to make sure prescription-only treatments like Botox and B12 are delivered with the proper safeguards in place.

What Do the New Rules Mean for You?

To make sure everything is as smooth and easy as possible, we’ll now be holding prescriber clinics once or twice a month, with both weekend and weekday options depending on the month.

You’ll still have your consultation with me and I’ll still perform your treatment—nothing else changes except that our GP prescriber will be there to issue the script.

Face-to-face consultations with the GP are free, but a £30 script fee will be required when your treatment is due. That script will remain valid for six months (unless your medical history changes, in which case you’d need to see the prescriber again).

If you’re attending a clinic appointment and plan to have your treatment within the following two weeks, a £100 deposit will be required at booking, plus the one-off £30 script fee.

These changes are designed to keep your treatments safe, legal, and fully tailored to your needs. It’s all about raising standards—and we’re all for that!

We know your time is valuable, and while these changes may feel like an extra step, we’re committed to making things convenient, flexible, and transparent.
